DeJay Sax was first introduced to jazz as a child where Grover Washington’s CD “wine light” was a fixture in his home. His love affair with Jazz continued with rides in his grandmother’s car where the music invoked the same soothing feeling as it did when he was baby.  At the early age of 7, he  knew he  wanted to play the saxophone. 


DeJay began to master his instrument throughout high school ranking as one of the Top 5 saxophonist in Michigan voted on by the Michigan Band and Orchestra Association. DeJay continued to sharpened his skills by joining the world famous FAMU Marching 100  as well as various musical ensembles throughout the Big Bend area. (Florida Panhandle) 

After receiving his Bachelors in Jazz Studies he continued his studies at Florida State University earning his masters in Art Administration and becoming a brother of the largest fraternal music societies in America, Phi Mu Alpha.


DeJay performs regularly as a professional musician around the country, even touring with acts such as Drumline! Live and being a regular act with the Washington Talent Agency, performing countless weddings, corporate events, and private functions. 

DeJay specializes in all things entertainment. His entertainment services include a full professional audio setup with customizable playlist. DeJay also actively provides music lessons throughout the DMV, teaching a variety of instruments and musical concepts to hundreds of students over the years.
